Irvington is Providing Health Insurance Enrollment Assistance

Irvington’s Mayor Tony Vauss announced that the Township is providing federally certified health insurance navigators to assist people to enroll or re-enroll in affordable health insurance plans. Assistance is available in the lobby of Irvington Town Hall on Tuesdays, 9:30am until 4:00pm; Thursdays, 9:30am until 3:00pm; and, Fridays, 12:00pm until 4:00pm, except holidays and when Town Hall is closed. Open enrollment goes until January 31, 2016.

“Health insurance is necessary for access to quality health care” said Mayor Vauss. “President Obama, through the Affordable Health Care Act, has made health insurance more affordable and available to most people. It is also a requirement that people have coverage. I am appreciative of the volunteers we have who are going to be at Town Hall to help people get the best coverage they can and meet the federal requirements.”

When coming in to enroll or re-enroll in insurance, you must bring: (1) the social security numbers for all household members (and any immigration documents); (2) employer and income information for every member of your household (such as pay stubs, W-2 forms, wage and tax statements); (3) the names and contact information for your doctors; (4) current health insurance plan information for everyone in the household; and, (5) your email address, if you have one.
