Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss Announces that Former Township Council President John Sowell Joins his Administration

Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss announced that John Sowell, former Irvington Town Council President, has joined his administration as his Confidential Aide.

“John has a wealth of information about Irvington,” said Mayor Vauss. “He can be a great asset to my administration as we move forward. We had a very successful first year. Adding John onto the team just enhances what we can do for Irvington.”

“I am pleased to be a part of Mayor Vauss’ administration,” said John Sowell. “He has accomplished tremendous progress in his first year as Mayor, and I look forward to doing what I can to make the next years even more successful for the residents and businesses of Irvington.”

John Sowell served as a member of the Township Council from 2000 to 2012. He was also the Township president. Sowell was a candidate for Mayor in the 2014 election.
