Mayor Tony Vauss hosted a luncheon for 100 seniors at the Irvington Senior Citizens’ Center on Friday, December 19. The gala included a full meal, gifts, and music.
“My wife and I had a great time celebrating the season with our seniors,” said Mayor Vauss. “Everyone was excited and festive. We all enjoyed the food and the music. Some of our seniors even showed us how to dance.”
The event was sponsored by the Mayor, the Township’s Department of Health’s Senior Citizens Division. Marilyn Thomas, the Senior Citizens’ Center Coordinator, and Gwendolyn Caldwell, the Senior Citizens’ Center Assistant, planned and coordinated the event. The Township is appreciative of the following supporters: Mohammed Ali and Mohammed Naeem, and the many volunteers who helped set up and serve the seniors. The food was provided by Commerce Downtown Kitchen.
