Irvington Neighborhood Improvement Corporation’s Thanksgiving Giveaway

Irvington’s Mayor Tony Vauss and Irvington Neighborhood Improvement Corporation’s (INIC) executive director, Deborah Simpkins, announced INIC will be giving away Thanksgiving baskets to Irvington residents with children, on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, from noon until 3:00pm, at INIC, 346 16th Avenue, Irvington, NJ. Baskets will be given on a first come first serve basis but participants must pre-register. Pre-registration will take place starting on November 10th and end November 21st.

“As we enter the holiday season, I want to make sure that the residents of Irvington, particularly those with children, are able to eat and enjoy the time with each other” said Mayor Vauss. “INIC is doing a great job helping our Irvington folk who find themselves in need of assistance, now and throughout the year.”

“Those of us at INIC are happy to be able to share these holiday meals with Irvington residents,” said Executive Director Simpkins. “For pre-registration, participants will need to provide a birth certificate for their children, social security cards, proof of income, a photo id, and proof that they live in Irvington. Our baskets will include: turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and vegetables.”
