Community Service / Parking Enforcement Officer

Qualifications:  

Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if The operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the Essential duties of the position. Ability to understand, remember, and carry out oral and written directions. Ability to analyze routine problems, organize assigned work, and develop effective work methods. Ability to learn quickly from oral and written Explanations and from demonstrations. Ability to note significant conditions and take Proper action in accord with the prescribed procedures. Ability to report significant Conditions noted an actions taken and to keep relevant records. Ability to learn to Utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems Used by the agency, office, or related units.

All candidates are subject to a background investigation.

 Responsibilities: The Township is presently hiring 4 full time positions for Parking Enforcement Officer. The interested applicant must be able to carry up to 25 pounds, walk long distances, remain standing for long periods, work in inclement weather, deal with the general public and operate “smart” and cloud based technology such as cellphones and related periphery devices. Ability to read and write in English. Additional language skills are preferred.

Hours:   Monday – Sunday Afternoon shift (10:00 am-5:30 pm) – Base pay, plus a $1.00 differential

                        Evening shift (2:30 pm-10:00 pm)- Base pay, plus a $2.00 differential      

 

Salary:  Hourly
