Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss and the Township Council Announce the Transformation of the Former Irvington Hospital Site

Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss and the Irvington Township Council are very pleased to announce that on May 18th at 10:30am, there will be a ground breaking ceremony at the site of the former Irvington General Hospital. The hospital was located at 832 Chancellor Avenue in Irvington. It closed in 2006, and since that time the property has deteriorated into a blighted condition causing concern to the residents and the Administration.

“For about a decade, this property, once a prime location for health care and employment, has been an eyesore for our town,” said Mayor Vauss. “It has caused housing values to decrease and been of major concern to the people of Irvington. I am very pleased to announce that change is now here. On May 18th, we will mark the beginning of a major and positive transformation of the 7 acre site into a residential and retail community.”

The project known as The Skyline at HillTop, is being developed by   Kapwood, LLC and HillTop Partners.

The public is invited to the groundbreaking ceremony to share in this day of celebration and renewal.
