Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss Announces Saturday Openings of Coit Street Facility for Recycling

Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss and Director Jamel Holley of the Irvington Department of Public Works, announced that the Public Works Municipal Garage located at 406 Coit Street, will be open to the public for recycling, on rotating Saturdays, beginning January 17th, from 8:00AM until 12 noon. Residents may bring the following items for disposal: leaves, electronics, metal, tire, cardboard, glass, and plastic bottles. No garbage will be collected at that time.

“We are opening the facility on Saturdays to make it more convenient for our residents,” said Mayor Vauss. “This is part of my mission to make Irvington cleaner.”

The dates the facility will be open on Saturdays are: January 17th and 31st; February 14th and 28th; March 14th and 28th; April 11th and 25th; May 9th and 23rd; and, June 13th and 27th. Future dates will be determined.
