Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss is pleased to announce that the Township of Irvington will benefit tremendously from a $3.5 million federal grant awarded to the Partnership for Maternal and Child Health, directed by Ilise Zimmerman.     The grant will provide outreach services by the Partnership to pregnant women and their children, to connect them with prenatal and pediatric care.

“I am so pleased that the Partnership and the Township are working collaboratively to meet the needs of our women, children and families,” said Mayor Vauss.  “The Partnership has been working diligently in Irvington for 15 years.  We look forward to continuing and expanding this important relationship.”

“These funds will enable the Partnership for Maternal and Child Health to offer parenting classes, family support, and case management to women, men, and families throughout Irvington. The Partnership has operated in Irvington for more than 15 years as a designated Family Success Center located at 50 Union Avenue, 4th floor. Without the support of the Mayor and the Director of Health, Stephanie Bush-Baskette, this grant would not have been possible,” said Ilise Zimmerman.

For further information regarding the services under the grant, please contact the Irvington Health Department at 973-399-6647 or anazir@irvingtonnj.org.

For information regarding the press  release, please call: Stephanie R. Bush-Baskette, Aide to the Mayor and Director of Health, 862-763-1708.
