Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss Unveils Township’s New Senior Citizens’ Bus and Street Sweepers

Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss unveiled the Township’s new street sweepers and senior citizens’ bus on Monday, October 19th.

“I promised our seniors that they would have a brand new bus so that they can travel in style and safety,” said Mayor Vauss. “I also promised the residents that we would make our town cleaner and by purchasing these two street sweepers, this will enable us to keep this promise. I thank the Township’s Council for working with me to buy this equipment.”

2015_Seniors_Check_Out_New_Shuttle_Bus“This marks another promise kept by Mayor Vauss to make Irvington cleaner,” said Irvington’s Department of Public Works director, Jamel Holley. “This is one of the important pieces of equipment the Mayor and Council have purchased for the town.”

“Thank you, Mayor, for keeping your promise to the seniors of Irvington,” said Dr. Stephanie Bush-Baskette, director of Health for the Township. “My seniors and I thank you and Council. Now they can travel without worrying that the bus cannot make it through the trip!”
