Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss Announces Free Prostate and Colon Cancer Screening June 29th

Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss announced that as part of the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign there will be free prostate and colon cancer screening at the Irvington Municipal Building, 1 Civic Square, on Monday, June 29, 2015, 1000AM until 1:00PM. The mobile unit is being sponsored by S.A.V.E Screening Program of UMDNJ.

“Prostate cancer is the second largest cause of cancer deaths among African American men, followed by Latinos,” said Mayor Vauss. “As men, we have to take ownership over our health and well-being and make sure we have medical exams and screenings such as these. I urge the men of Irvington to take advantage of this opportunity. It costs nothing but time and the benefits can be priceless.”

Registration is required! To register or for more information, call the Irvington Health Department at 973-399-6716 or 973-399-6647.
